NOVA & Olympiacos, always close to the children!

As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives implemented by Nova, in collaboration with Olympiacos BC, 110 children and their escorts from 6 NGOs had the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, watching the Olympiacos - Mykonos Betsson game live on Sunday, April 5, as part of Round 24 of the Stoiximan GBL.

The initiative was carried out in cooperation with Desmos, a non-profit organization that creates meaningful social impact across Greece. Since 2012, Desmos has been operating as a connecting link between donors and organizations that support vulnerable social groups. Its goal is for every contribution to reach where there is a documented need, in a transparent and effective way, thereby contributing substantially to the implementation of actions with a positive social impact.

Children supported by the NGOs Network for Children’s Rights, Emfasis Non-Profit, Association for the Care of Minors and Youth, Children First, The HOME Project, and SolidarityNow participated in the initiative. Through this experience, the children had the opportunity to be in a unique sporting environment, share moments of joy and excitement, and feel the power of participation, teamwork, and collective experience.

The initiative was carried out ahead of the Easter period, further strengthening the symbolism of offering, solidarity, and support for vulnerable social groups.

With this new Corporate Responsibility initiative, Nova continues to invest in actions that strengthen social cohesion and create unique experiences for children and young people, leveraging the power of sports as a means of inspiration, inclusion, and connection with society.

Martha Kesisoglou, Corporate Affairs Executive Director of Nova, stated: “At Nova, we believe that the most meaningful initiatives are those that create real experiences and positive emotions for children; experiences that will stay with them in the future. Through our collaboration with Olympiacos BC and Desmos, we continue to support initiatives that give children the opportunity to participate, be inspired, and feel the joy of shared experiences.”

Emily Kern, General Director of Desmos, stated: “At Desmos, we believe in the power of partnerships that can open new paths and create opportunities for children. This particular initiative by Nova is a great example of collaboration with meaningful impact, offering children the chance to see their favorite players up close and experience the emotions that sports can provide.”

Nikos Lepeniotis, General Manager of Olympiacos BC, stated: “Olympiacos BC actively supports initiatives with social impact, leveraging the power of sports. In collaboration with Nova and Desmos, 110 children from vulnerable social groups and their escorts experienced something truly special at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. Such initiatives promote inclusion, solidarity, and the joy of participation. We remain committed to creating actions that bring sports closer to society.”
