Presenting the new jersey (pics)
The official presentation of the new team jersey took place on Thursday, September 19. Our main jersey has red as the dominant color, a whole white one has made a come back, while the alternative third one is blue. However, they all share one common characteristic: The logo of our Great Sponsor, bwin on the front side!

Panagiotis Angelopoulos: «We are here to present our new jersey, that changes after two years, as well as to thank our Great Sponsor, bwin, for the 2nd season of collaboration in the framework of the 5-year deal we have committed to. We hope we are going to have a successful season. The team has been working hard to succeed that. We wish that the Olympiacos’ fans support this effort. This season is a historical one, because it’s the first one – we will not be analyzing the reasons today – that Olympiacos will only be playing for the Euroleague. It’s an expanded Euroleague, with more teams, with more double game weeks. It’s a good thing we are going to be playing more games, especially the way things have turned out. We hope we are going to do well and we need the support of everyone who love the team».
Giorgos Angelopoulos: «We thank you very much for honoring us and support us with your presence. O would also like to thank bwin for a collaboration continuing without any problems and is becoming even better. We are happy and grateful. This is a special and historical year. It may be changing the history of European basketball, it has certainly changed the history of the Greek one. We have said that we’ll take it to the end and we have done that».
Giannis Kapodistrias (Managing Director for Bwin): «We are proud not only to be here, but also that bwin is on Olympiacos’ jersey for the second year. We are proud to be sponsoring this proud team. We are anticipating an exiting season, a productive one, full of success for the team. I will make a special reference to the person that steers the team. Coach Blatt is teaching us that the unexpected hardships life is bringing upon us can be dealt with strength and a smile. That they can be starting point for work, creation and success. I wish a good sporting season».
David Blatt: «First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Kapodistrias for his words. We are very exited and are looking forward to this season. The feeling to have quality and high level players is great for me as a coach. Players that have a history with the club, as well as new additions from Europe and the NBA. They are all together with our great team, aiming to succeed. I always say that the most important thing is for everyone on the team to commit their best selves. Because results don’t precede, they follow. In my mind, saying we need to do this or that is kind of meaningless. However, committing to being excellent at what you’re doing, that brings results».
Vassilis Spanoulis: «On behalf of all the players, I wish to thank the sponsors and bwin for being with us. I wish this season is very good for us. I wish for health and we promise to give our souls on the court and bring the best results possible for our team».
