Valencia is no rookie in the Euroleague lounge, nor has at the same time a consistent presence in it. The team secured its participation to this season's top European competition after winning last season's Eurocup!
The team played against the European Champion CSKA at home for the premiere, but was not able to be overly competitive and lost 71-96.
The brightest star: Bojan Dubljevic! He's not Spanish, but despite the fact, he's the player with the longest tenure on the team from anyone else on the roster. More specifically, this is going to be his 8th season with the Taronjas. As for the competitive part, the 27year old center is one their great protagonists and has major contribution towards the team's achievements, especially during last season.
Do I know you: There is no player on this season's roster in any way connected to our country. Since the last encounter of the 'reds' with Valencia (22/02/2018) only three players remain, Bojan Dubljevic, Fernando San Emeterio and Aaron Doornekamp. Before that, Fotis Katsikaris has sat in Valencia's bench, while Dimos Dikoudis and Loukas Mavrokefalidis have worn its jersey.
