Κemzura: "Bayern is a strong and solid team"

Olympiacos traveled to Munich, where he will be playing against Bayern tomorrow (19/11, 20.30 CET), for the 9th day of the Euroleague.

"Bayern is a solid team", the 'reds' coach, Kestutis Kemzura stressed. "They play tough basketball, physical. They may be playing simple, however, each player is well aware of his role. They often try to pass the ball inside the post to Monroe. They have the size, as well as good shooters, like Koponen. Also, Lo and Lucic are very important players. So, just like I said before, Bayern is a solid, good team".

Asked if he expects his players show the same mental readiness like the one exhibited in the game against Zalgiris, he replied: "We'll see, we have been working on that. Yesterday, we made a very good practice and we have one more tonight. We try to make it clear to our players what is is we ask of them. To fight on both ends of the floor. There is no other way to win a game. We want a physical game with a lot of intensity".

Finally, on whether he believes that Willie Reed - following his good performance against the Lithuanians - is ready to offer what he was signed for, he answered back: "I think that he's still improving and makes us feel good about it. But I know he can be even better and he knows it as well. I hope this is going to be the case".

On his part, Kevin Punter focused on the strength of the German team's perimeter. "We have to remain positive and do what we did what we also did in our last game against Zalgiris. It was a good victory and we needed it. We have to build on it. Bayern has a strong perimeter, they have guards that score, but also facilitate. So our guards need to focus on theirs and stop them. Basically, we need to be better than them. It's going to be a tough game, but we need to be ready. Rebounding is going to be key. We should not allow them to get the offensive boards, as well as disrupt their defense. If we do these things, then we are going to have a good chance at winning".
