Mantzaris: «We are looking forward»

Vangelis Mantzaris spoke about tomorrow’s game against Zalgiris Kaunas (18/3, 20.45 CET) at the Peace and Friendship Stadium for the 11th day of the Euroleague TOP16.

“Whatever happened is in the past. We need to leave behind us all that has happened up to now either for the Greek League or the Euroleague. You cannot be living in the past. We are looking forward. We are definitely upset from losing to Bamberg. We could have won in Germany, we lost at the buzzer, but that’s how sports is. The opposite happened in OAKA against AEK. Luck is sometimes with your, sometimes with the opponent. We are making a new start, in our home court, with our fans, so as to make 4/4 victories fighting for the qualification to the end. We want to exploit all our chances”, the Greek guard said at first.

Asked whether there is pressure on the team, “Mantza” said that “there is pressure but we need to manage it, just like fatigue. We have four finals ahead of us and we need to give it all. To go where you need to go, you got to give it all. We are not out yet, we continue having chances. I personally believe that if we make 4/4 we’ll qualify, but nothing depends solely on us. We still have our chances, nothing is over, we’ll give our best and should we fall, we’ll fall with pride”.
