Sfairopoulos: «Barcelona is a different team at home»

Barcelona visits Barcelona on Thursday (12/1/2016, 20.00 CET) for the 17th day of the Euroleague and Giannis Sfairopoulos shared his thoughts on the game against the Catalans before the departure of the team.

GIANNIS SFAIROPOULOS:  "Each game is different, it doesn't matter what happened in the first round. Barcelona plays very fast at home at half court and the fast break. They have almost all their players back, they are a very good team, they have found rhythm, and they play much better at home. Vassilis (Spanoulis) was not able to travel, so the rest of my players, regardless of Vassilis being with us or not, need to do the best job they can. As long as we remain focused and do what we need to do, the pressure will be on Barcelona that needs to gather victories. Olympiacos is Olympiacos, there is always going to be pressure, regardless of whether we are at the top or at the low ranks, everyone wants to beat us, we are used to that by now".

KOSTAS PAPANIKOLAOU: "The two games cannot be compared. The first game went our way, but we cannot keep looking at it. We want to follow the same game plan, challenge all the balls that we can, look at every small detail. Only a few mistakes, we go there properly prepared by our coaches and we are trying to do our best. We want to focus on our team, not the other one. We are looking at one game at a time; we'll see what we'll have done at the end. That has been our way up to now and this how it is going to be. We all know what Spanoulis means for our team and how much he's been helping it, we are not a team that complains and looks for excuses. Regardless of players, teams of losses, we are always going to fight and give our best. We want to play a good game and win. It would be a blessing if Vassilis could be with us, now, the 12 players that are going there are going to do the best they can".
