The imposing Greek center has had a remarkable NBA career.
The Utah Jazz selected him at No 23 of the 2008 NBA draft, however, they later on assigned him to their affiliate D-League team, the Utah Flash, where he played during the 2009-10 season.
However, from 2010 through 2019, he was a continuous staple of the top league of the world, getting to subsequently wear the jersey of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Denver Nuggets, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Sacramento Kings. He decided to cross the Atlantic for the likes of CSKA in 2019.
