Larentzakis 'anchors' in Piraeus through 2028

Olympiacos BC announces the extension of its cooperation with Giannoulis Larentzakis. The Greek guard/forward has signed with the team through the summer of 2028.

«I'm very happy to continue with Olympiacos. I feel the need to thank everyone involved and first of all the Presidents, Mr. Panagiotis and Mr. Giorgos Angelopoulos, for their trust in me all these years», the international guard commented to OlympiacosBC.gr.

He went on to say: «When I first joined the team, I wanted to prove that a had a place here and could contribute at a high level. I think I have done that. I have been giving and will continue giving 100% and I'm very happy to have the opportunity to keep doing it for the next few years».

The relationship Giannoulis Larentzakis has had with the team and the fans since putting on the 'red & white' jersey in 2020, is deep and substantial. «What bonds me with this team so much is above all else the fans. I have received so much love all these years. I think that my greatest achievement is that they have understood who I really am and they identify with my passion, my energy and the fact that I always try for the best». 

The new season is ahead; the goals though remain the same. «My goal is also my dream and it's winning the Euroleague. We have come very close many times, we have fought really hard and will continue fighting with all we got. I want to aske the fans to continue loving and supporting us. They are the ones to energize us in every game and only if we stay together we'll be able to win the ultimate goal, that is to celebrate winning the Euroleague.».

Finally, talking about Olympiacos having been allocated the Peace and Friendship Stadium, he said: «It's a big deal that Olympiacos has now its own home. Its a huge success for the Presidents. This had been everyone's dream. Both the fans and ours. Owning your gym helps you many ways. I have dreamt for our new home to always be packed and that we get to celebrate as many titles as possible in it».
