BEGIC: I’m very proud

Moments after signing his new contract with Olympiacos, Mirza Begic spoke exclusively for Olympiacosbc.gr about the new chapter that has opened for his career.

“I’m very happy and very proud to be a member of the European Champions. I haven’t forgotten the London Final Four and how hard this has been for Real. Olympiacos is the best team in Europe and joining its roster is very important”, the Slovenian center commented while he proceeded to comment on the renewed front-line of the ‘reds”: “We are definitely going to be a very aggressive and fast front-line. Of course there are a lot of new faces, but if we work hard this is not going to be a problem”.

As for his goals with Olympiacos? “I know that being the back-to-back European Champion makes you dream about a three-peat. That’s definitely very hard to do. I don’t want to speak big. I only wish that we remain healthy and we’ll see about all the rest on the floor”.
