Justification of P. Angelopoulos - rejection of another lawsuit by D. Giannakopoulos

With the No. 993/2021 decision of the Athens Board of Appeals, the defamation lawsuit of D. Giannakopoulos against P. Angelopoulos was conclusively rejected.

D. Giannakopoulos, in his unfounded lawsuit, had claimed that the protests of KAE Olympiakos after his unacceptable statements published after the Panathinaikos - Olympiakos Euroleague game, were supposedly false and slanderous, claiming that these statements had never been made.

The Athens Board of Appeals, taking all pertaining evidence into account (including the testimony of Ch. Kaouris), ruled on the merits of the case and concluded in its final judgment that the defamatory statements in question were in fact made by A. Liogas and presented by same as the official position of Panathinaikos BC and DPG.

Consequently, the judicial authorities fully vindicated Olympiakos BC and P. Angelopoulos.

On the contrary, one more attempt by D. Giannakopoulos to distort facts well known by him was crowned with failure.
