An easy win in Patras

Olympiacos concluded the Basket League regular season with a win, routing Apollon in Patras 93-63.

The 'red & whites' were the undisputed dominants of the game in its beginning. Playing a good defensive game (that led the hosts to 9 turnovers), combined with ball movement, facilitation (10 assists) and with Isaiah Canaan and Alec Peters spearheading the offense, they closed the first quarter at +19 (9-28). Following the same playbook and with Naz Mitrou-Long, Giannoulis Larentzakis and Moses Wright taking over scoring duties, Olympiacos increased the distance to 24p. (18-42 at 15'). However, in the five ensuing minutes, Barztokas' players seemed to inexplicably relax, allowing Apollon (who found scoring from the long range) to close in - following a partial 17-4 - into 11p. (35-26 at 20').

Om the second half, Kostas Papanikolaou and Isaiah Canaan initially restored order (44-61), while Long, Peters and Wright saw that the score margin went up to 23p. (50-73) by 30'. The 'red & whites' though did not stop their effort there. Despite slowing down, they kept absolute control of the game and saw the difference climbing to +30, right at the end of the game.

* Thomas Walkup and Filip Petrusev were out due to injuries.

The quarters: 9-28, 35-46, 50-73, 63-93.
