Task completed
Olympiacos beat Promitheas at the SEF 80-69, for the 4th day of the Basket League Top 6.
Relying on a solid defensive game and good ball movement and with Alec Peters and Moustapha Fall leading the offensive end, our team set the tempo and closed the first quarter at +11 (20-9). In less than a minute, the 'red & whites' received an 8-0 partial and saw Promitheas closing into 3p. (20-17). The Patras team even made a one-point game (28-27), but Olympiacos reacted. They pressed more effectively in the back court, passed the ball into the paint to Moses Wright and increased their lead to 8p. (44-36) by 20'.
\The guests resisted up until 25' (49-42), but somewhere near that point our team sped up... They were more than efficient with their defense and with Alec Peters and Filip Petrusev (who made a powerful return to action after being out for almost one month) running point in the offense, they replied with a partial 14-2 score and sent the margin sky-rocketing to 18p. (62-44) by 30'. In the 4th quarter though, the 'red & whites' inexcusably slowed down... Cracks in the defense, turnovers and bad decisions in the offensive end allowed the guests (that found score from the long range) to close into 6p. (68-62, 36'). At the end, it was Moses Wright who took it upon himself to set the record straight and hence Olympiacos got a comfortable win.
Shaquielle McKissic was not included in the game roster.
The quarters: 20-9, 44-36, 62-44, 80-69.
