An impressive +100-point performance against Aris

A dominant Olympiacos beat Aris 102-72 for the 2nd day of the Basket League.

With Moustapha Fall dominating the post and good collaborations in offense, Olympiacos started the game with gas pedal 'floored'. They ran a quick 6-0 (8-3, 3') and succeeded in totally setting the tempo. Aris had a hard time containing the 'red & whites' who were controlling both ends of the floor, closing the first quarter with 14 assists and only 1 turnover (35-12). In the second quarter, our team started with a new line-up, but the same intensity in both offense and defense. Dorsey sent the difference to +25 at 11' (40-15), the guests closed in to -19 following 2 back-to-back threes (42-23, 14'), but Olympiacos was impressive and went to the half-time break with +26 (57-31). 

The second quarter began with Evan Fournier scoring a three that sent the margin to +29 (60-31). Aris reacted with a streak of 9 unanswered points (60-40) and succeeded in termporarily shrinking the difference under 20p/ (64-47, 25'), however, the 'red & whites' were never actually threatened. Sasha Vezenkov scored five successive points to make the score 69-47 at 26', while Fournier gave our team a +29 lead once again (76-47, 29'). The quarter ended at 76-49. 

In the fourth quarter, the outlook remained the same, with Olympiacos controlling the game undisturbed. Moses Wright scored a three for the 98-67 at 35' (+31) and Mitrou-Long ran the fastbreak for the 100-67 (final score 102-72).
