An easy win in Karditsa

Olympiacos beat Karditsa on the road 77-61 for the 3rd day of the Bakset League and remained undefeated.

Our team lined up without the injured Evan Fournier, Nigel Williams-Goss and Keenan Evans, while it's worth noting that Nikola Milutinov came back to action in an impressive fashion, having replaced Filip Petrusev for the Greek League games.

In the first quarter, Sasha Vezenkov gave an offensive recital scoring 13 out of the 19 total points scored by the 'red & whites'. However, lost rebounds (11-6) did not allow our team to completely impose the rhythm (14-19 at 10'). Nikola Milutinov and Giannoulis Larentzakis gave an extra boost to Olympiacos, that upped his defensive game and sent the difference to +18 (28-46), by the end of the first half.

In the second half, the 'red & whites' appeared to be lacking energy and focus, which the hosts took advantage of, and running a partial 16-4 closed into 6p. (44-50) at 26'. But that was as far as they went... Olympiacos put pressure in the back court, found score with Milutinov and Vezeniov and regained complete control (46-62), which consistently mainted (53-74' at 35') up until the end of the game (61-77).

With about 2:26'' on the clock, Giorgos Bartzokas put the 17-year old Stefanos Spartaliks on the floor, who made his debut in the Basket League.

The quarters: 14-19, 28-46, 46-62, 61-77.
