A comfortable win before the double-game Euroleague one

Olympiacos emphatically beat Promitheas at the SEF (106-66) for the 6th day of the Basket League.

The hosts began the game on a high-note. They fought to get the rebounds, put pressure on the ball, stole balls and got to lead 8-0 at 2' and 10-2 at 4'. The guests reacted running a partial 2-8 (12-10, 6'), but our team replied with 3 back-to-back unanswered threes by Vezenkov, Papanikolaou and Dorsey (21-10). The guest managed to remain competitive up until the end of the first quarter (24-18).

In the second quarter, Giorgos Bartzokas opened up the rotation - given the double-game Euroleague week that follows - and our team line up with many new faces. Nikola Milutinov was the greatest protagonist in the first five minutes of the quarter, scoring 10 from the 13 points our team scored during that time (36-20, 15'), while Giannoulis Larentzakis with a 2-pointer and one sent the difference to +20 for the first time (43-23, 18'). The 'red & whites were completely dominant and were practically never threatened at any point in the game, with the half-time ending at 52-25.

In the third quarter, the margin got even wider with Papanikolaou sending it to +30 (55-25, 21') and to +37 only a little later (62-25, 22'). Walker offered some scoring for Promitheas (80-49, 29'), but the game was on a one-way street by that time (3rd quarter ended at 83-49). The last quarter was a mere procedure, since Olympiacos was the sole controller of the game, offering a great performance for their fans at the same time and final buzzer finding our team at +40 (106-66).

The quarters: 24-18, 52-25, 83-49, 106-66
