Olympiacos showed off its power against Panelefsiniakos (85-60) for the 24th day of the A1 League and is now focusing on the game against Anadolu Efes.

The ‘reds’ did not start the game well resulting in leading by only two in the first quarter (21-18). However, as time went by, Printezis, Powell and Shermadini started upping the tempo and thus the difference reached two digit margins with half-time closing at 46-30.

The Piraeus team continued in the same tempo into the third quarter and the Greek and European Champions were leading by 19 (65-46) in the third quarter.

The team of Giorgos Bartzokas offered both substance and show in the last quarter of the game and Olympiacos eventually won 85-60.

GIORGOS BARTZOKAS: “Elefsina has won, as you all know, the third, the fourth and the fifth ranking teams of the league during the past month. We are now focusing on preparing for the Friday game. Tonight we just needed to play to win. We wanted to rest Law, who has played a lot of minutes. As I’ve said, we are looking into the next game. We got very disappointed last Friday. I think everyone wanted to just play Efes right there once again. I think we were better. I think we were better in the three out of the four games. We have to win in our home court to make the final-four. I believe Vujacic will be out due to disciplinary procedures. We are going to have to face those who will come here”.

DORON PERKINS: “It’s a game that you have to remain focused, a good preparation game for us. We made one step forward and we keep on walking. It was very tough; the team had worked really hard. But we still have one game in our home court to take us to the final four and we are going to focus on it. I feel better and I always try to be ready to help my team”.
