Olympiacos beat Real Madrid 100-88 for the Euroleague final and was crowned the European Champion for the second time in a row and a total of three times in its history.

The ‘reds’ did not start the game well while at the same time the Madrid team was making ‘crazy’ shots. It was thus that the first quarter ended with the score at 27-10 in favor of Real. However, the next three quarters were completely owned by the Greek and European Champions.
Perperoglou, Sloukas and Katsivelis took action in the second quarter and together with Hines Olympiacos succeeded in cutting down the difference to only 4 points at half time.

The MVP, Vassilis Spanoulis took over in the second half. The captain of the Piraeus team with continuous three-pointers gave his team the lead and it was only a matter of time before the team of Giorgos Bartzokas built a difference in its favor. And that’s what happened. Spanoulis kept on “firing” scoring 22 points in 20 minutes and Olympiacos reached the final 100-88 that gave him the trophy.
