Olympiacos triumphs in OAKA
Olympiacos bested Panathinaikos in OAKA 77-66 for the 24th day of the Basket League SKRATS and 'sealed' the first place of the regular season.
Olympiacos, although trailing 9-4 at the beginning, ran a partial 12-1 with Mantzaris and Darden doing an exceptional job that made the score 10-16. Then the 'reds' maintained their lead and the quarter ended 18-22.
The Piraeus team maintained its lead during the whole second quarter. Spanoulis, Dunston and Printezis offered offensive solutions and half time ended 34-38.
With the beginning of the second half Olympiacos stepped on the gas and with a 7-0 streak made the score 34-45 sending the difference above ten points for the first time (22'). Spanoulis took over scoring and with continuous points made 42-53. Printezis and Spanoulis continued the party in the offense and the score was 46-58 at 28'. The third quarter ended with a basket by Matt Lojeski from the corner that wrote 48-62.
Giorgos Printezis was "shooting" behind the 6.75 meters arc, Spanoulis and Manztaris were also doing an excellent job, the same with Sloukas and the score was 59-69 at 35'. The players of Giannis Sfairopoulos maintained the difference in their favor with ease and got the victory.
