A defeat in Bamberg
Olympiacos lost 72-71 to Bamberg on the road for the 10th day of the Euroleague TOP-16 and now has a 4-6 record.
The Greek Champions, although leading even by +10 in the third quarter, were not able to maintain the difference and finally lost 72-71 with a three by Strelnieks, 4’’ before the end of the game.
THE DEFENSE: Not what Giannis Sfairopoulos wants in the first half. However, in the second half, and especially in the third quarter, the Piraeus team played exactly according to plan. Unfortunately though, the Germans made their last shot and won the game.
THE OFFENSE: Printezis, Hunter and Spanoulis played a great offensive game and the offense worked well for most of the game. Unfortunately though, the last offensive play did not go as planned and the ‘reds’ lost the game.
THE MVP: As mentioned before, Printezis, Hunter and Spanoulis played a great game, however, this was not enough.
KEEPS, FORGETS: Nothing to keep from said game. Definitely controlled it, was better for the most part, but lost at the end and is now with the back against the wall.
