Goose bumps #THANKYOUDUDA

For years in a row, Dusan Ivkovic was offering recitals in the benches of European courts and his last one was held in the Peace and Friendship Stadium, just like it ought to be, in the frame of an outstanding celebration.

 

With Duda himself, following a surprise initiative by Giannis Sfairopoulos, planning the last play that gave Olympiacos the Euroleague title in Istanbul in 2012 during the last offense of the final against CSKA.

 

Following the invitation of our coach, Giannis Sfairopoulos, during the last time out of the friendly game Olympiacos - IvkovicStars, that took place on Wednesday, September 20, 20017 at the SEF, 'Duda' left the guests' bench, went to the reds' one and gave his instructions…

 

Giorgos Printezis' signature shot did not go on this time, however, this was of no importance… Because the special celebration organized by the 'red' family to honor the great coach was absolutely successful!

 

A unique party (aimed to charity) took place at the SEF, which was attended by huge names of the European basketball as well as of world sports, given the fact that the famous Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was among the guests, as well as Dusaqn Ivkovic' family, his friends, his opponents and of course the Olympiacos' fans!

 

The Serb coach was celebrated by the fans and very moved thanked all those who honored him with their presence and supported his great career throughout. However, he did not leave SEF with only great memories…

 

The Olympiacos' Presidents, Giorgos and Panagiotis Angelopoulos, gave him a commemorative trophy for his contribution to the club, he got to receive the framed game stats from the 2012 and 1997 finals from Vasilis Spanoulis and Milan Tomic respectively, while V-Span also gave him a basketball signed by the whole team.

 

For the record, victory in the game went to the DusanIvkovicStars with 111-103. A little before the end of the game, the time stopped at 28'', since the total of the titles won by the great coach in his career are 28.
