Easy win over Galata

Olympiacos beat Galatasaray 69-58 and got 3rd seed in the TUBAD tournament that was held in Istanbul.

Our team was leading 10-2 at 5', however Galata succeeded in turning the game around and lead 17-16 at 11'. The game was a derby up until 20', 32-30 for the Turks, who increased their lead at 7 p. in the beginning of the second half (39-32). However, the Sfairopoulos players tightened their defense and improved their shooting and Olympiacos, 'replied' with a 12-0 streak making the score 44-39 at 28'. From that point on, the 'reds' kept complete control of the game and reached a very easy victory.
Brian Roberts felt a muscle pull in his right bicep and did not play in the second half.

GIANNIS SFAIROPOULOS: «We had one more good test today, against a quite tough team. We found better rhythm after the first half in our offense, mainly through our defense. The third quarter made all the difference. I believe that just like in the first half, we have had a solid defensive game, we moved the ball a lot and got to shoot a lot of open shots that did not go in though. Should we have made 7 or 8 or those shots, the outlook of the first half would have been much better.
