bwin TOURNAMENT AGAINST COVID-19: Olympiacos - Lavrio 99-64 (vid)

Olympiacos won the game against Lavrio 99-64 and tomorrow (September 5, 19:30 CET), will be playing against Monaco for the final game of the «bwin TOURNAMENT AGAINST COVID-19».

Our team got to lead from the start, however, up until 5’, Lavrio was closely following the score (16-12). With good defense and patience in the offense, the ‘reds’ passed the ball into the post and with a partial 11-3 widened the lead to +12 (27-15 at 10’). And they didn’t stop there… Relying on consistent good defense, but also displaying pluralism in the offense, they got to close the first half at +23 (50-27). The Bartzokas’ players did not hit the brakes in the second half. They increased the margin (+29, 60-31 at 23’), while at 39’ the difference was at its highest mark (+36, 96-60).

The General Director of Olympiacos BC, Mr. Nikos Lepeniotis, handed Mr. Georgios Tsoukalas, Co-ordinating Director of the 4th Pneumological Clinic of the General Hospital for Thoracic Diseases of  Athens “SOTERIA”, with a voucher for BiPAP ST device to address Hospital needs.

The Olympiacos coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, commented: “I would like to wish for health for my team and that we enjoy the fans returning to the gym. I also wish health for the community and that we get to enjoy sports again. We have missed the presence of the fans which is important for the players because it greatly motivates them”.

On his part, Giannoulis Larentzakis stressed: “First of all, I would like to wish a good and healthy season to everyone. It was the first game the fans got to come to see us in our gym. I think we showed them something good tonight. We had energy, played good defense and we are happy for that”.
