An easy afternoon in Nikaia
Olympiacos bested Ionikos in Nikaia 107-81, for the 5th day of the Basket League and remains undefeated in the Greek League.
Relying on their shooting from the perimeter, the guests maintained balance up until 7' (17-17). The 'red & whites' got to push in the defense afterwards, moved the ball superbly in offense and leaning on the Papanikolaou - Canaan - Vezenkov triplet closed the first quarter at +8 (22-30).
Utilizing their good percentages from the three point line, they took the difference marker to +14 (31-45 at 15'), however, bad decisions and turnovers allowed Ionikos to close in to 7p. (43-50) by the end of the first half.
Ionikos took advantage of the nervous beginning of the guests in the second half and made a two point game (48-50 at 22'). The 'red & whites' though saw to immediately restore order... Playing a solid defensive game and with Sasha Vezenkov and Bolomboy leading the offense, they regained control and skyrocketed the difference to 20p. (61-81 at 30').
And they still refused to slow down. With a consistently good defense and offensive plurality, they furthered the distance to 30p. (66-96 at 36') and practically put an end to the game. With two for two free throws by Fall, Olympiacos reached 100 points (70-100 at 37').
