A comfortable win vs Kolossos
Olympiacos ‘demolished’ Kolossos at the SEF 99-64, remained undefeated in the Greek League and is now focusing on the double round Euroleague week that follows.
At the beginning of the game, the ‘red & whites’ seemed to be influenced by the fatigue caused by the Munich game (12-9 at 5’). However, through a good defensive game, they found rhythm in the offense too, put more distance between them and the guests and got complete control of the game in their hands (35-18 at 15’). That was not enough though… Giorgos Bartzokas’ players continued putting pressure in defense and with Peters, McKissic and Larentzakis leading the offense, they got to close the first half at +26 (51-25).
Olympiacos refused to slow down in the second half. They originally ‘struck’ under the rim with Fall, then with Peters and in combination with a consistently good defense, they got to skyrocket the difference to 35 points (73-38 at 29’). In the last quarter, Kolossos tried to somewhat close the gap, but to no avail, since Alec Peteres and Shaquielle McKissic saw that it did not happen.
- Isaiah Canaan did not participate the 12man roster.
The quarters: 23-16, 51-25, 74-43, 99-64.
