Broke Alba to pieces in Berlin

With the support of 300 'red & whites' fans, Olympiacos dominated Alba in Berlin 93 - 60 and continues enjoying the ... view from the top of the Euroleague ranking ladder. Our team wore black ribbons on their jerseys during the game, in honor of the victims of Gate 7.

Before even one minute into the game was played, Moustapha Fall had already committed two fouls and before the first five minutes were over, his subsitution, Tarik Black had also two! Nevertheless, the 'red & whites' did not lose focus... Playing a superb defensive game, dominating rebounding and with Sasha Vezenkov spearheading the offence, Olympiacos imposed the tempo (13 - 28 at 10') and succeeded in leading as much as by 20p. (21 - 41 at 15'). However, Alba managed to react. They pushed back in defense, took advantage of the turnovers our team was making and with barrage of threes got to close in to 10p. (35 - 45) by the end of the first half.

In the second half, Moustapha Fall came back in strong, our team's defense was exemplary once again, while with excellent ball movement and good offensive decisions, the margin went up to 28p. (45 - 73 at 30'). Our team was not content with that though... They continued pressing Alba in defense, ran the fast-break and raised the lead to +37 (49 - 86). The game got a procedural character, however, the guests refused to relax and reached the final win with characteristic ease. It's also worth noting that 1:18'' before the final buzzer, Giorgos Bartzokas put in the Abosi and Tsamis, who got to make their Euroleague debuts.

The quarters: 13-28 35-45, 45-73, 60-93.
