Bartzokas: «Zalgiris is extremely dangerous»
Olympiacos will have two important players returning to action for tomorrow's game vs Zalgiris (24/11, 20.15 CET), those of Nikola Milutinov and Shaquielle McKissic.
"It's good, but we are still missing players", was what the Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzoaks pointed out. "Goss is out, but we have people returning. We believe our roster is going to be deeper tomorrow. Goss has shown big improvement, but he must undergo another MRI to determine his state of progress".
Regarding the latest signing of the 'red & whites', Naz Mitrou-Long said: "He hasn't begun practicing yet, because he's taking a physical this afternoon. He only arrived yesterday, but he's here at the gym and has met his new teammates. I'm very happy with this choice. It's a safe one, in the sense that he's going to have a Greek passport because he's Greek and I think that's very important. But also, he's a player I like a lot. He plays very well on both ends of the floor, so that's something I appreciate".
Finally, about the game against the Lithuanians, he said the following: "Zalgiris is an extremely dangerous team. You saw how they lost to Panathinaikos. They made 5 - 6 turnovers in their last offensive plays, and lost by one. That means they were in control of road game. I think that anyone who knows about basketball and has been following the Euroleague, knows that they are a team that always goes for the win. They execute very efficiently in offense, they screen well, they have good plays, they have homogeny with their coach and their core players. They are also a hustling team defense-wise. They have players like Hayes who is very good in defense, but they also attack the ball as a team. So, you also need to be executing well, to be patient, to stay focused on your plan and pass the ball well. I repeat, they are a team that although they can be characterized as 'home team', thanks to their fans and their always sold out, but they also always play well on the road. They are compact team that you can no way underestimate".
