Bartzokas: «We must stay positive and together»

Giorgos Bartzokas stressed the importance of the team staying positive and together.

"Congratulations to Real for the win and for the way they've been playing from the beginning of the season up to now. We had expected the game to be like that, a close one that would be decided by details. Unfortunately, at the end of the game, everything was against us. We missed five free throws, a couple of lay-ups under the rim that we should have made. At the same time, our percentages with triples was extremely low. With less than 30%, it's hard to beat Real, because, like everyone knows, we have big guys that can create special situations. I think that the team is playing really well, we just need to take care of a couple of details to re-enter a winning trajectory. Details are very important though at the moment, we lost on the road to Monaco during the last couple of possessions and tonight, we once again lost to details. However, let's stay positive, together and focus on the next game". 

On his part, the coach of Real Madrid, Cus Mateo, stated:" I think we played a very clever game. It's not easy to play here against a great team like Olympiacos. They are excellent defense wise and they don't allow you easy scoring, they don't allow many assists and they play differently from us in offense. It's not easy playing against a team that plays as smart as Olympiacos does. Tonight, we scored from the long-range, which was really important and in the second half we were much better with rebounding".
