Bartzokas and Walkup on playing Barcelona

Olympiacos traveled to Barcelona, where they will be facing the local team tomorrow (10/01, 20.30 CET), for the 20th round of the Euroleague.

"I don't think that ten days represent an adequate time frame to say a team is in good shape", was what the Olympiacos coach, Giorgos Bartzokas said, following a relevant question. "It's just that you get to play a lot of games in ten days, which forms an idea about you. Barcelona beat Obradoiro in the overtime this weekend. They are a team with a lot potential. They play with very tall line-ups. With Kalinic at the '2' position, they switch in every defensive rotation. They have a certain way to play on both ends of the floor. We have a game plan to face that. It's only obvious that we have a tough mission ahead, just like with any other Euroleague game, just like with any other road game. But we believe that we are also better than we were in the first round, when we lost. We execute better on both ends of the floor, we have more players and definitely, more healthy players".

On his part, Thomas Walkup pointed out : "It doesn't have to do with them, but rather with us. We have found good offensive rhythm, we have been playing much better, we are healthy, we have had a winning streak at home and we want to continue with it on the road as well. Palau Blaugrana is a great court. It's one of my favorites because it's small and the fans are right above you and create an amazing atmosphere".
