Bartzokas: «One of the most important victories»

The coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, characterized the win over Bayern as one of the most important ones, while he also talked about Alkis Kampanos, who lost his life two years ago today.

"It was a very intense game for forty minutes. Bayern is in a very good momentum and they have proven that in the last three games they have played, including their Bundesliga one. I think that they have a very deep roster and a very good coach in Pablo Laso. They are very strong competitors for the playoffs. So, beating them here when faced with so many injury problems is very important. Two main players of our front-line, Fall and Milutinov are out, while we have added a new player. I think this win to be one of the most important in the season. I would like to wish Pablo and Bayern good luck. We still have nine games till the end of the regular season and it's going to be a war. Nothing is easy. We must stay together and be competitive in every game".

He closed his statements talking about Alkis Kampanos. "It doesn't matter if we dedicate the win to Alkis Kampanos memory, who lost his life two years ago today. What matters though is to say that especially today, but also every day, we must remember his unjust loss and try to be better. Basketball and all other sports, is a game that must only make us happy".
