Bartzokas: «We will continue playing, trying and fighting» (vid)

Olympiacos got a huge win over Panathinaikos, in a game when two players, Nigel Williams-Goss and Thomas Walkup, went above and beyond to be able to play.

"I don't need to say that it was a very important win, mainly due to our effort in making the playoffs", the Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas pointed out. "And of course, it's also important because it's against Panathinaikos, a very good team. We are happy for that. I want to express my gratitude to the fans for creating a very warm atmosphere. Everything was civil. Congrats to my players for this win. I would like to make a special mention of Goss and Walkup, who played having only practiced once with the team and to Larentzakis, who was eager to play, despite not being ready. And I once again want to express my gratitude to the doctor and the physiotherapists who have worked long and many hours to prepare the players".

Talking about the game, he said: "We played a compact defensive game, that did not allow our opponent to score more than 65 points. We had 11 steals and they made 18 turnovers and this shows our defensive potential. The only problem we have had was with rebounding, but even with those numbers, the fact that we still won the game was really important. Good luck to Panathinaikos. As for us, let's keep on playing, trying and fighting".
