Bartzokas: «It's going to take a bigger effort»

The Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, was not satisfied with his players' performance against Karditsa.

"Congratulations to Karditsa, they played a very good game. As for us, it's the third game played at home after Maroussi and Lavrio where we practically 'walk' the floor instead of playing, in the pretext of having played very demanding European games. I'm not saying this is not the case. It's true. Only two days ago we played a very difficult game and we have two more ahead of us on Tuesday and Thursday. The conclusion though is that if you just 'walk' the floor, like we did on both its ends, you get this outlook that is not deserving of either the fans that come to see us, or our players and their quality. Basketball needs intensity, speed, quick thinking, focus and we had neither of those in the three games I mentioned before. We win at the end playing real basketball for about 5 - 10 minutes in the last quarter or the third one. But you can understand that this is something we need to fix in view of the third League round. The games are going to be very tough, with better opponents than those we have played against lately and this will require a bigger effort".
