Bartzokas: «Unbelievable players and fans» (vid)

Giorgos Bartzokas gave apotheosis to his players and the fans following the win in the 4th quarter-final game.

"I don't want to talk about stats and numbers. It all has to do with what I felt inside. I felt gratitude towards my players and the fans for their performance at this moment in the season. They were truly incredible. I don't want to say anything negative about the previous game, but we were disappointed. We picked up our pieces and played the game with that kind of intensity, with that kind of desire and motivation". 

He then made a special nod to the captain. "I want to talk about Papanikolaou. His blood work wasn't that goo, he should have not played this game. In a way, he sacrificed his own health, since he wasn't up to playing a game of such intensity and energy. But you all got to see how much he helped us. Along with everyone else of course". 

As for the 5th game, he committed to yet one more huge battle: "We are happy to have tied the series, now we are going to Barcelona to play our game and fight like we always do. I want to congratulate Barcelona once again; they are a great team. Their quality and experience is impressive. That makes our win even more important".
