Bartzokas: «We will learn from this game»

In the post-game after Efes, our team's coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, congratulated the hosts and talked about the turnovers of the last possessions that cost the game.

"First of all, we must congratulate Efes on the win. I believe it was a very good game for this time in the season. It was very intense and showed off a lot of talent for both teams. For us, it was a tough loss, because we were leading almost throughout the game. We had 23 assists for 3 turnovers in the first three quarters. And we finished the game with 26 assists and 9 turnovers. These 6 turnovers, these 3 or 4 last possessions cost us the game. We must protect the ball more, secure the possessions, because we allowed the opponents to score in the transition. I can say it was a good performance for us, with the exception of the last few minutes when we should have played completely differently. We will learn from this game. Once again, congratulations to Efes, the atmosphere and the team were amazing".

Asked whether lost rebounds were the main reason for the defeat, he pointed out: "At the end of the game, the players with big personalities, like Larkin, Beaubois and all the guards got to score and when they were missing, we allowed them secondary possessions. it was lack of toughness. Yes, it was one of the main reasons for the loss".
