Bartzokas: «I wish to thank my players, they fought to the end» (vid)

In the post game following the loss to Paris at the SEF, Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, made a special mention of his players' combativeness and thanked the fans for their support, before analyzing the game against the Parisians.

"It was a fantastic game. Both teams tried to do everything they could to win, but we all saw tonight why Paris ranks top seed, they have 10 wins a row, they play with incredible speed, they shoot very well, they play hard in defense and they deserve to be where they are. For us, circumstances had been against us, we had a day less to recover and tonight it was a game of energy. Vezenkov is ill, Fall is out, the same with Wright. We tried to play with some not conventional line-ups, we tried some weird staff to try and win the game. We came back, finally doing what we should have been doing from minute one, having two forwards and three guards on the floor. But everything was against us at the end... A missed three by Luca. Even a little before when we were leading, they made a three while well guarded. I would like to thank our fans for their support and thank my players for fighting to the end. At the end, everything was againsts us, but that's basketball. This was the third back-to-back game for us and given our shorter rotation, that was an issue. Tomorrow we are going to Rhodes, we play one more game on Sunday, but we have a very good team and I'm not worried in the slightest".

«Wright will be with us, but he's out for the season»

Asked about Moses Wright, our team's GM, Christos Bafes, replied that: «It's clearly a medical issue, he's going to be with us, but he's out for the rest of the season».

As for the status of Moustapha Fall's injury, the coach said that: «He will not be playing on Sunday, we'll see how his tests come back on Wednesday, otherwise we'll see what happens in the game against Virtus».
