Bartzokas: "What was important today, was winning"
Our team's coach, Giorgos Bartzokas was content with the win over Panionios.
"I don't have much to say about the game. Congratulations to our team for the win. Congratulations to Panionios because they are combative team and fought for 40 minutes. I wish them all the best".
On whether he's happy with the way his players reacted following the bad performance and the loss to Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade, he said: "Each day and each game is a unique situation. We played on Friday and have had less than 48 hours to prepare a game that would be demanding no matter what. Also, we continued dealing with significant losses in some positions of our roster. There's cummulative fatigue on the team due to the injuries. The rotation has shrunk. We have had ill players as well for a long time now, Vezenkov and Fournier. But that's how things are. Winning today was important. We could have won by 20 after we were leading by 13 - 13 points, but it was hard playing at the same intensity levels for forty minutes due to what I explained before. We are content all in all. We don't underestimate any opponent, nor we believe there are easy games. Today the game was very hard".
About Moustapha Fall's injury: "He's doing better. I believe he's going to practice tomorrow and be available for Wednesday's game".
Finally, asked about when Olympiacos' new signing, Nathan Mensah will be coming to Greece, he replied: "There's a lot of bureaucracy involved with getting his paperwork done and I don't have any updates right now. We hope he's going to be able to come this week".
