Bartzokas: "We did not underestimate Karditsa"

In the press conference following the qualification to the Greek Cup Final 8 semis, our team’s coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, talked about both the first step towards achieving the goal and the health condition of Thomas Walkup, who returned to action but only played for 4:36'' due to back discomfort.
In his initial statement, the Greek coach said: "We took the first step, as it is commonly said, against a team that has been very consistent throughout the year, both defensively and offensively, doing all the basketball fundamentals well. We did not underestimate Karditsa, we did not think the game would be a walk in the park, and it wasn't. Tomorrow (14/02), the game against PAOK will also be difficult, or even harder. We need to prepare for a game that will not resemble the previous ones we played against them."
Asked about Thomas Walkup, he replied: "He felt much better, but today his back bothered him again. I was disappointed because I wanted to give him about 10-12 minutes today and gradually more tomorrow, but that’s the situation, difficulties are for the strong. We will play the game with the players we have, and we trust them."
Regarding the recovery progress of Keenan Evans and Moses Wright, he said: "We don't have any update on Wright and Evans, rushing them is not allowed, but we need to focus on the games ahead of us."
Nikola Milutinov commented: "We did a good job tonight, we took the first step, and now we need to rest and prepare for the next game."
