Goss: «We don't need extra motivation when we play a final» (vid)

After qualifying for the Final of the Greek Cup Final 8, Nigel Williams-Goss spoke to OlympiacosBC TV about the upcoming match against Panathinaikos, the outcome of which will determine the second title of the season.

"It's a great feeling," he said, referring to the qualification, and continued, "Obviously, you always have the final in your mind, but first, you have to get there."

Regarding the semifinal against PAOK, he emphasized, "I feel like we started a bit sluggish, but we corrected it as the game went on, and now we’re here. We had to focus on the game and understand that we needed to finish the job to get to where we wanted. We increased our energy, and many players who came off the bench, like Larentzakis, McKissic, and especially Milutinov, contributed."

Asked if the absence of players due to injuries provides extra motivation for the 'red & whites', he clarified, "I don’t think we need extra motivation when we’re playing a final against Panathinaikos. That’s the only motivation we need. It’s unfortunate we won’t have some players with us, but that’s sports, and we need to step onto the court and give our best. We hope the injured players return healthy soon because it’s a long season. But on Sunday, we’ll try to ‘take care of business’ without them."
