Bartzokas: "We must immediately get better"

Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, addressed the reasons behind the team's loss to Villeurbanne and emphasized that the team must immediately improve its performance.

In his initial statement, he said: "Villeurbanne deserved the win based on the way they played, how they fought for every possession. For us, this is the second consecutive game where we didn’t play well, we didn’t compete the way we wanted. We had 14 turnovers to 18 assists, for example. We scored 70 points, which is a season low, because we played differently from how we wanted to play, with many spot-ups, we played a lot with the ball, with execution from the ball handlers. We didn’t have patience. We deserved the loss. You could say it’s not a painful loss, but we must immediately improve; we need to start playing better, as a team. We have no right to underestimate anyone, we have no right to play the way we played tonight."
