Vezenkov: «We hope to end the season with winning the Greek League» (vid)

 In his post-game comments to OlympiacosBC TV, Sasha Vezenkov emphasized how important it is to finish the season with a title.

If you could send a personal message to each Olympiacos fan, what would you say? “Let’s all stay together. Thank you for being here today. We know how hard it is to travel to a distant and unfamiliar destination like this. We understand that we’ve hurt you. It doesn’t take many words, just this: we need to stay united and fight for the last goal of the season. A simple ‘thank you’ doesn’t feel like enough.”

How do you make a restart? “First, we have to leave this place and put it all behind us; each of us needs to look at ourselves first, and then come back together as a team. We have to stay united. There’s no time; we’re going to play in a tough arena, and we have to stand together.”

He added: “I believe in this team. We fight together. I know that one bad moment can erase seven months of hard work and beautiful memories, but that’s sports, and that’s life. We have one more goal left, and we need to finish the season with a title.”
