In the post-game press conference following the Super Cup semifinal against Karditsa, Olympiacos head coach Giorgos Bartzokas commented on his team’s victory over the Thessalian side. When asked about the new signing, Frank Ntilikina, he thanked the club Presidents for their crucial support and discussed what he expects from the player on the court.

In his opening statement, Bartzokas said: “I think we had a solid performance. We controlled the game and were very good defensively from the 5' to 20', during which time we built a lead of over 20 points. After that, the game became more or less procedural. But overall, it was a serious performance for the full 40 minutes. Everyone who played tried to adopt the mindset of how we want and need to play. Congratulations to Karditsa; they have a tough season ahead, especially with European competition.”

On Frank Ntilikina, he added: “I’d like to thank the Angelopoulos brothers once again for their immediate and crucial help to the team. In my opinion, we needed additional playmaking. So, we wanted a point guard, and we believe Ntilikina is that player. For us, it’s very important that he defends well on the perimeter, he’s an excellent defender, and at the same time, plays simply and within the system, the way we want. We believe in him a lot. Fournier had only the best things to say about his character and competitiveness. I wish him good health and hope he plays well. He’ll play as a point guard for us, and that’s a very special role. He’s a player who can defend three positions, which gives us great flexibility in that regard.”
