Bartzokas: «Our approach in the first half wasn't good enough»
Giorgos Bartzokas spoke in the post-game Press Conference following the loss to Armani Milan and after congratulating the Italian team, talked about the mistakes that cost our team the win.
The 'red & whites' coach said in his original statement: "I would first of all like to congratulate Armani Milan for the win. They came out to play with enthousiasm, played with excellent physicality, speed and of course, confidence. They shot with 80% in twos in the first half, 50% in threes and had 5 offensive rebounds. So, our approach in the first half wasn't good enough.
We certainly reacted in the second half. We had quite a few opportunities, but we also made some poor choices when attacking and in some dynamic defensive plays where we did not appear as we should have in order to win. In general, our defensive approach of the game, lack of physicality, lack of dynamics and all the missed 50-50 challenged balls, show that we needed something more to win this game, despite the final difference being just one point".
