Joseph: «In Olympiacos, you represent something bigger than yourself» (Vid)

Corey Joseph landed Tuesday morning at the Venizelos airport of Athens form Miami and made his first statements as a player of Olympiacos. 

The American guard talked to the Press about his signing with the 'red & whites' and was at first asked to comment on the unexpected announcement of his acquisition (i.e. there had been no previous knowledge of the move) and his feelings about it: "I feel wonderful. As you know, things happen fast, that's the nature of the business. I'm excited to be here, I have been to Athens before as a visitor. It's a very beautiful city and I'm looking forward to getting to know it. Of course, I also knew about Olympiacos. It's a team that echoes all over the sports world. I'm super excited to have joined the team".   

On whether the decision to sign with Olympiacos was an easy one, Joseph replied: "Yes, it was an easy decision if I am to be honest. I know some of the players that have played for the team from the NBA. The club speaks for itself. It's the history that makes you want to wear the jersey. You represent something bigger than yourself in Olympiacos. I'm thrilled to be here and can't wait to start working and become a part of the club". 

Then, the Canadian answered a question regarding his motivation to win the EuroLeague: "I'm extremely motivated! I feel like a rookie again, it's a new beginning for me and I'm so excited about it". 

Joseph was also asked about how hungry he is to play basketball and whether he is familiar with Olympiacos' tactics: "I'm hungry for basketball, I just want to play again. I haven't played since the NBA playoffs. But I have been practicing. I can't wait to play again. I have already talked with the coach regarding some of the team's plays and I have to adjust to them as a point-guard, so that I don't miss anything in that part. I have played against some palyers and I want to learn about their habits fast. I watched a few games while I was with Monaco. We have a very talented team and we can definitely do some great things together".
