Bartzokas: «A solid performance for about 30 to 35 minutes»
Giorgos Bartzokas and Alec Peters spoke to the press conference following our team's win over AEK for the Greek Cup quarterfinals.
In his initial statement regarding the game, our team's head-coach commented the following: «We came to play the first game against AEK, a game we had assessed as a difficult one taking into account the opponent's talent and their recent performances. They were missing their point-guards and that obviously helped us, but we also played a solid game for 30-35 minutes, allocating minutes and giving all our players the chance to contribute. The fact that we had more than 30 assists and many more rebounds than they had shows how we like to play. The win is important, it's something that we always appreciate and allows us to continue into Thursday's semis. Congratulations to AEK and all the best for their season».
Regarding Jones, Bartzokas said: «Tyrique will have an MRI tomorrow. I don't think it's something serious. He will have an MRI tomorrow morning and we'll know. I didn't understand what happened, he felt some discomfort and asked to be substituted. I hope it's nothing serious».
Alec Peters made the following statement: «The good thing for our team is that we all understand the importance of every game. We understand the importance of this week. We understand the importance of the next game. Having so many players that have experienced this before, we want to maintain a good rhythm till the end of the week. So many people came here to watch us and follow us wherever we play, which is very important for us to keep up the hard work and spirit throughout the week».
