On June 10, 2010 we lost Giannis Spanoudakis. Fourteen months later, the Olympiacos family experiences another great loss. The man who put together the great team of the 70ies, Fedon Matthaiou, is not with us anymore.

On June 10, 2010 we lost Giannis Spanoudakis. Fourteen months later, the Olympiacos family experiences another great loss. The man who put together the great team of the 70ies, Fedon Matthaiou, is not with us anymore. 

At the of 87, the “Patriarch” of Greek basketball decided it’s time to follow the late Giannis Spanoudakis to the heaven’s courts and watch the progress of Olympiacos and basketball from above.

Huge Fedon Mathaiou, we wish to thank you for what you have offered to our Olympiacos. You are always going to be in our hearts and your legacy will be always leading the team. Fare well…
