«It's a great honor»
Giannis Sferopoulos has returned to the Peace and Friendship Stadium and is leading Olympiacos. The new 'reds' captain made his first acquaintance with the Olympiacos players and participated his first practice as the new head coach.
The 47 year old coach made the following statement by means of taking over the coaching position with Olympiacos for the next two years: "It's a great honor for a coach to be serving a team of the Olympiacos magnitude. That's why I would like to thank the team Presidents, Messrs. Angelopoulos for the trust they showed in my face. I know very well where I have come. Olympiacos is a team that is destined to go after every title. All of us comprising the team will be uniting forces to achieve that. With a lot of work and with the support of our fans we'll be successful".
