A successful operation for Mantzaris

Vangelis Mantzaris underwent a successful surgical operation on Wednesday morning, performed by the Olympiacos doctor Mr. Giorgos Papagiannopoulos.

The rupture of the anterior crusade ligament in the right knee of the international basketball player was fully recovered and he’s expected to be discharged from the hospital Thursday afternoon.

Right after the procedure was completed, the President of Olympiacos BC Mr. Panagiotis Angelopoulos paid Vangelis Mantzaris a visit so as to wish him a speedy recovery and also convey the warmest wishes from his brother, Mr. Giorgos Angelopoulos.

Vangelis Mantzaris thanked through Olympiacosbc.gr all those that stood by him: “The love of the people is indescribable. I would like to thank them all from my heart and especially those I don’t know, the simple fans of Olympiacos, because I feel their wishes are absolutely sincere. It’s a rough patch I have to go through. A tough adventure that will only make me stronger. The team needs help right now and if I may ask our fans for a favor this would be for them to support my team mates and the technical staff. We can all together succeed a lot”.
