Bartzokas: «Performance in accordance with what is demanded from us»

Giorgos Bartzokas and Bryant Dunston pointed out that the game against Zielona Gora (19:45, Novasports 2) is quite significant for the Back2Back European Champions.

“We want to remain serious and focused for the last game of the Regular Season because that’s what our preparation requires. We therefore need to be serious and get one more victory while at the same time we need to maintain our rhythm. We are not going to have Law with us, but we have a full roster and players capable enough for filling his shoes. No, we don’t see this game as a preparation in view of the game against Panathinaikos. The game against Zielona is a different game, a different competition. Zielona is a good team, they have lost three games at the last shot and this says a lot about their quality. I’ve read they declare to be extra motivated since they want to beat the Champions of Europe. The gym will be full and we want to play according to what is demanded. I don’t think it’s hard to motivate my players. Players need always to be ready. The competition itself is a huge motivation for players, so I don’t need to say anything more” the Greek coach stressed.

On his part, Bryant Dunston said that “we haven’t forgotten the first game and how it evolved. They had caused us a lot of problems since they are a very good team. We shouldn’t allow them to find rhythm because they aim to imposing their tempo in their gym. We need to be focused for 40 minutes in the game, get the rebounds, play good defense and have good offensive choices if we need to get the victory. 9-0 means absolutely nothing, we are not going to Poland without motivation. Each game is of use to us so we can improve our playing status. We’ll face the game as if we had lost the one in the first round”.
