The opponents of the European Champion

The Euroleague draw for next season was held in Barcelona placing Olympiacos in the third group against Caja Laboral, Anadolou Efes, Zalgiris, Armani Milano and Cedevita.

The draw took place in the presence of the two owners of Olympiacos BC, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, while Olympiacos was also represented in Barcelona by the General Director of the Club Mr. Christos Stavropoulos and the Marketing Director Mr. Nikos Lepeniotis.

The General Director of Olympiacos BC Christos Stavropoulos commented only a few minutes following the draw: “I think we are in a very difficult group and we need to work hard to overcome the obstacles. Of course, the fact that we are the European Champions gives an extra motivation to our opponents. Everyone wants to beat the champion but I hope we are going to have an outstanding season, just like the previous one. Just like in the year before, we need to work hard, give our best and I think we can make it”.
