Third friendly victory
The European Champions succeeded their third victory in three friendly games up to now. Olympiacos bested Rethymno 89-64 at the Glyfada gym.
The team of Giorgos Bartzokas, missing nine of its players, left some room to their opponent only the first quarter when the defensive line did not seem to function that well. The reds then built a two digit margin and even led by 25, which was the greatest point difference in the game.
Olympiacos played without its five internationals (Spanoulis, Printezis, Perperoglou, Sloukas and Begic) but also without the injured Law (about to start practicing with the team from Saturday on), Lodjeski (he’s following a personal program), Mavroeidis (knee discomfort) and Petway (precautionary absence due to minor heel discomfort).
