Olympiacos plays against Malaga (22/11, 20:00, Novasports 2) for the sixth round of the Euroleague Regular season and Giorgos Bartzokas proceeded to lay out the game difficulties, as well as the motivation of the Back2Back Champions of Europe.

“All Euroleague games are tough. Playing against Malaga is very difficult especially when they play in front of their audience since a game in Spain always have many particulars in regard to the tempo. So, games in Malaga are always difficult. And now, there is one more reason to it, they are playing with their backs against the wall. They have a full roster now that Toolson is back, who hadn’t played in the first game. They definitely need the ranking more, but we also have motivation since we want to play a very good game” the reds’ coach commented.

Kostas Sloukas on his part pointed out that “it’s important that we haven’t lost a game yet, but we are not thinking about it right now. We have a difficult game ahead of us, a very tough game, since Malaga is a team that comes from “bad” losses. We need to maintain concentration, control the tempo and be patient to leave as winners from a tough home court like the one of Malaga. There are many things that have changed from the first game. Both teams have found rhythm, we are going there for the best possible outcome. Only the fact that we play the Euroleague is motivation enough. Olympiacos should be finding motivation to win either in Greece or in Europe. I’m fine, I’m getting into rhythm and I’ll do whatever the coach asks me to in order to win.”
